چکیده
The aim of the present review is to summarize recent achievements in development ultrafine-grained austenitic/ferritic stainless steels processed by large strain deformation. Various aspects microstructure evolution and its effect on properties are considered. paper starts from an overview various methods deformation that successfully used for producing metallic materials. Then, structural mechanisms responsible grain refinement during plastic considered discussed viewpoint their efficiency subsequent recrystallization behavior. Finally, some physical mechanical observed. It concluded microstructures severe results a kind continuous dynamic recrystallization. Namely, misorientations among strain-induced cells/subgrains progressively increase up typical values ordinary boundaries. Following rapid reduction at relatively small strains, size gradually approaches final value, which depends alloying/phase content processing conditions. An number density interface/grain boundaries initial state significantly accelerates kinetics working.

MICROSTRUCTURE AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF THE ULTRAFINE-GRAINED COPPER TUBE PRODUCED BY SEVERE PLASTIC DEFORMATION
In this paper, cyclic flaring and sinking (CFS) as a new severe plastic deformation (SPD) method was employed to produce the ultrafine grain (UFG) copper tubes. The extra friction has eliminated in the CFS method that provided the possibility for production of longer UFG tubes compared to the other SPD methods. This process was done periodically to apply more strain and consequently finer grain...
متن کاملSuperplasticity of a fine-grained Mg–1.5 wt% Gd alloy after severe plastic deformation
The strain rate sensitivity (SRS) of Mg–1.5 wt% Gd processed by conventional extrusion and 2 passes of simple shear extrusion (SSE) was investigated by shear punch testing. Shear punch tests were conducted at initial shear strain rates in the range of 0.003–0.3 s-1 and at temperatures in the range of 573–773 K. A fine-grained microstructure with an average grain size of about 2.5 µm, obtained a...

In the present study, the effect of grain size on the austenite stability was studied by nanoindentation tests in a 304L stainless steel. Thermomechanical processing based on cold rolling and annealing was used to produce two different types of austenite: ultrafine grained (UFG) austenite with the average grain size of 0.65 μm and coarse grained (CG) austenite with the average grain size of 12 ...

the function of our tissues and organs. Among the biomedical materials, titanium alloys have received attractions for dental and orthopedic implants due to their high strength, great corrosion resistance and biocompatibility, and low density [1,2]. Recently, a series of new β titanium alloys have been developed with low elastic modulus, containing non-toxic alloying elements such as Nb, Ta, Zr ...
متن کاملNano- and Micro-mechanical Properties of Ultrafine-Grained Materials Processed by Severe Plastic Deformation Techniques
The processing of metals through the application of severe plastic deformation (SPD) techniques provides the potential for achieving exceptional grain refinement leading to ultrafine-grained (UFG) materials in bulk solids. These materials generally exhibit high strength but very limited ductility at room temperature (RT) leading to the so-called paradox of strength and ductility. The recent dev...
